The Yorkshire Post today has reported the theft of a laptop from a junior health workers home which contained confidential records of over 1000 patients.
The protection of customer data is vital and more so if you allow members of staff to carry data around on USB drives or laptops. In most cases it’s fairly easy to implement hard drive encryption and enforcing peripheral security etc.
